On Friday, United Concordia Dental and Dental & Health Management Solutions (DHMS) have partnered to offer on-site service to children with dental coverage through Gateway. They have made it their commitment to promote the importance of preventive oral care. Community dental professionals have volunteered their time and efforts to treat patients
The mobile dental unit has traveled throughout central Pennsylvania, stopping at local YMCAs. On Aug. 6-7, the dental unit made its stop in Harrisburg at the Camp Curtin YMCA located on North 6th Street. The hours of operation went from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In the video, Braxton Voyles, Director of Partnerships and Performance for United Concordia Dental’s Government Business, talks importance of dental hygiene and the company’s mission.
“We feel that maintaining our oral health is critical to our overall health and wellness so that’s why we thought it was very important to come and provide these services to children in the community” Voyles says.
The unit plans to make two more stops planned at the Lebanon YMCA located on 201 North 7th Street on Saturday, Aug. 8 and the Lancaster YMCA located on 265 Harrisburg Ave on Monday, Aug. 10. The hours of operation for both days will go from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
